Rajouri: The authorities have suspended an officer of the rank of assistant commissioner in Rajouri district over allegations of making derogatory remarks against his subordinate.

An official said that assistant commissioner Panchayat has made derogatory remarks against his sub-ordinate, following which the latter lodged a complaint against the same.

He said that after take note of the complaint, deputy commissioner Rajouri placed the officer under suspension and also ordered an inquiry into the matter.

The official added that DC Rajouri has also requested the Secretary General Administration Department to post a new officer as AC Panchayat in Rajouri.
