2 children killed after houses collapse in Udhampur

Jammu, Aug 20: Two children were killed after two houses collapsed amid rains in Samole village in Muttal area of Udhampur district, officials said on Saturday.
They said soon after getting the informing early morning, rescue teams rushed to the spot and recovered the dead bodies from the debris of one of the collapsed houses. Also 12 other persons were rescued from the houses and shifted to hospital. A police officer confirmed that two children died in the incident and their bodies were rescued. The children duo have been identified as Arif and Gani , aged 3 and 2 years respectively. Locals said that police team led by in-charge police post Tikri PSI Abdul Satar carried out the swift rescue operation.
