J&K Reports 28% Jump In Covid-19 Cases , Active Tally Crosses 100 Again

Srinagar, June 15: Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday recorded 25 new Covid-19, a jump of 28 per cent in the last 24 hours, even as active tally of infections crossed 100 mark, officials said.
They said that thirteen cases were reported from Jammu and twelve from Srinagar districts respectively, taking the overall tally to 454391—166576 in Jammu division and 287815 in Kashmir.
There was also no death due to the pathogen reported in the last 24 hours, they said. So far 4752 persons have succumbed to the virus—2328 in Jammu and 2424 in Kashmir.
Besides, they said, 11 Covid-19 patients recovered during the last 24 hours—four from Jammu division and seven from Kashmir. So far 449526 people have recovered, leaving the active case tally at 113— 80 in Jammu and 33 in Kashmir.
The officials said there was no new confirmed case of mucormycosis (black fungus) reported today. So far 51 black fungus cases have been confirmed in J&K, the officials said. They also informed that 2816 doses of covid-19 vaccine were administered during the time in J&K.
