Srinagar: PAGD on Tuesday said that the alliance has unanimously expressed their ‘deep dissatisfaction and shock with regard to recommendations of the commission.’

The statement issued by the alliance stated that  the meeting was held at Jammu under the chairmanship of Dr. Farooq Abdullah in which the current political situation of Jammu and Kashmir was discussed. The draft of the delimitation commission was thoroughly examined.

“The leaders of PAGD  unanimously expressed their deep dissatisfaction and shock with regard to recommendations of the commission. The constitutionality  of the commission under the reorganization act has been challenged in the Supreme Court of India. The recommendations are highly disappointing and divisive and will further disempower the people of Kashmir, ” reads the statement issued to press.

It said that the delimitation commissions draft is bound to widen the gaps between regions and communities.  ‘As such it is unacceptable to the people of the region. It also appealed to the people to remain united and not fall prey to the divisive and disruptive designs of BJP, ” it reads.

Besides  PAGD has also decided to hold a peaceful protest on Ist of January 2022 at Srinagar against  these divisive and unacceptable recommendations of the commission.
