J&K Reports 134 Fresh Covid-19 Cases, No Death

Srinagar, Oct 7: Jammu and Kashmir reported 134 fresh covid-19 cases even as there was no death due to virus in the last 24 hours, officials said on Wednesday.

59 of these cases were reported from Jammu Division and 75 from Kashmir Valley, taking the overall tally to 330252.

There was no death due to the virus. So far 4426—2174 in Jammu and 2252 in Kashmir—have died due to the pathogen, they said.

Giving district wise details, the officials said that Srinagar reported 43 cases, Baramulla 5, Budgam 6, Pulwama 3, Kupwara 2, Anantnag 5, Bandipora 3, Ganderbal 8, Kulgam 0, Shopian 0, Jammu 2, Udhampur 0, Rajouri 3, Doda 3, Kathua 11, Samba 0, Kishtwar 0, Poonch 35, Ramban 1 and Reasi 4.

A number of these cases were confirmed at CD hospital and include female (90) from Srinagar, male (72) from Harwan Srg, male (45) from Lasjan Srg, male (72) from Safakadal Srg, male (26) from Kaksarai, female (32) from Makhdoom Sahib, two males (25, 18) from Achgoza Pul, female (35) from Shalina Badgam, female (30) from Zewan Srg, male (70) from Barzulla, female (23) from Illahibagh, male (76) from Srg, female (78) from Soura, male (70) from Pulwama, two males (45, 38) from Lalbazar, male (36) from Ganderbal, female (55) and male (61) from Pampore, male (42) from Poonch, female (22) from Nishat Srg, female (60) from Chanapora, female (65) and male (34) from Tailbal, male (45) from Harwan, female (26) from Habak.

Moreover, the officials said that 109 more patients have recovered—21 from Jammu Division and 88 from Kashmir. So far 324736 patients have recovered, leaving active case tally at 1090—317 in Jammu and 773 in Kashmir.

Meanwhile, there was no fresh confirmed case of mucormycosis (black fungus) reported today, they said. So far 46 black fungus cases have been confirmed in J&K, the officials added.
