Srinagar, April 09: Two more militants were killed, taking toll to five in a gunfight at Jan Mohalla area of South Kashmir’s Shopian district on Friday.

Official sources the identity of the slain militants was yet to be ascertained.

They said said that the operation was started yesterday evening and two militants had taken refuge in a mosque. Three militants were killed last night, police said.

Earlier a joint team of Police and army launched a cordon and search operation in Jan Mohalla.

As the joint team approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon the forces, triggering off the gunfight.
