Srinagar, April 7: National Conference President Farooq Abdullah is “responding well” to treatment and does not require any supplementary oxygen support, his son Omar Abdullah said.
Farooq, who tested positive for the second time, is admitted to SKIMS Soura for nearly a week now.
“This is nothing unusual. COVID patients often test positive for quite a few days as the viral load reduces,” Omar said in a tweet.
“The important thing is he is responding well to treatment & does not require any supplementary oxygen support,” he said in on the micro-blogging website.
Farooq Abdullah, former three-time Chief Minister of J&K and incumbent member parliament from Srinagar, had first tested positive for covid-19 on March 30, four weeks after receiving the vaccine jab.
