Baseer Khan reviews working of Culture Department

Srinagar: Advisor to Lieutenant Governor, Baseer Ahmad Khan, today chaired an officers meeting to review working of Department of Culture.
The meeting had a detailed deliberation on various vital issues concerning resurrection and revitalization of cultural activities in Kashmir Valley.
Secretary, Tourism and Culture, Sarmad Hafeez, Director Archives and Museum, Muneer ul Islam, Inspector General of Police, CRPF Kashmir and prominent artists were present in the meeting.
Advisor Baseer Khan asked the Secretary Culture to integrate programme of events with tourism department so that platform is provided to artists to revive the cultural activities in the Valley.
It was informed in the meeting that various programmes will be organized particularly during winter tourism activities at Gulmarg and Srinagar.
The artists present in the meeting brought into the notice of Advisor various issues ailing the Cultural department.
Earlier, Advisor Baseer Khan held a meeting with a deputation of travel and tour operators during which various issues confronted by them were discussed in detail.
