Srinagar, Nov 23: The Jammu-Srinagar Highway, the only surface link connecting Kashmir valley with the outside world, was closed for traffic on Monday due to fresh snowfall and landslides in Ramban district, officials said.
Over 300 vehicles have been stranded due to the closure of the thoroughfare due to landslides in Ramban district and snowfall at Jawahar tunnel. The authorities have pressed men and machinery into service to clear the thoroughfare.
