J&K Reports 704 Covid-19 cases, total 34480

Srinagar, Aug 25: Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday reported 704 new covid-19 cases including 96 travelers, taking the total tally to 34480 in J&K.
Among the cases, 195 were from Jammu division and 509 from Kashmir Valley, official sources said.
Giving district-wise breakup of the cases, they said Srinagar reported 198, Baramulla 16, Pulwama 55,
Budgam 64, Anantnag 47, Kulgam 9, Shopian 9, Kupwara 49, Bandipora 22, Ganderbal 40, Jammu 98
Rajouri 17, Kathua 27, Udhampur 15, Ramban 3, Samba 12, Doda 7, Poonch 7 and Kishtwar 9.
Meanwhile, 599 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and were discharged from various hospitals—126 from Jammu Division and 473 from Kashmir Valley.
“People are informed that, the best way to protect themselves from COVID-19 is by maintaining physical distance of at least 2 metre from others, frequently cleaning hands with an alcohol based hand sanitizer or washing them with soap & water and following good respiratory etiquettes & hygiene,” government said, adding, “As a measure for social distancing in public places & workplaces wearing a face cover is compulsory.”
