Srinagar: Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industry on Sunday welcomed the appointment of Zubair Iqbal as Managing Director and the appointment of R K Chibber as Chairman of the J&K Bank for a period of three years.
A spokesperson of the trader’s body said that the appointments have come at a time when the J&K Bank as well as the business community of Kashmir are facing an unprecedented situation.
“The COVID Pandemic has brought economies to a grinding halt globally and added further fiscal stress to our people and the banking sector as well.”
The new management faces challenging times ahead and the business community shall be extending total support to tide over these challenges. “The dynamic leadership shall no doubt be an asset for the bank as we hope that we shall work towards the improvement of the economic scenario together as equal partners,” he said, adding, “We wish all success to R K Chibber and Zubair Iqbal for their new assignments.”
