Jammu: Director General of Police, J&K, Dilbag Singh on Thursday sanctioned retirement gift of rupees one crore fifty-seven lakh fifty thousand in favour of 210 Police personnel including 14 gazetted officers who are retiring from service today after attaining the age of superannuation or taking voluntary retirement.
The gift of rupees Seventy-Five thousand each has been sanctioned out of Contributory Police Welfare Fund on their superannuation or voluntarily retirement, a police spokesman said.
“An Order has been issued vide PHQ Order No. 1387 for grant of retirement gift in favour of 14 Gazetted Officers, 149 Non-Gazetted Officers, 36 lower subordinates, 10 Followers and one paramedical official. The personnel belonged to different units and wings of the Jammu and Kashmir Police.”
Retirement gift at a uniform rate of rupees seventy-five thousand is sanctioned to each police personnel from the contributory police welfare fund at the time of his/her retirement, the spokesman said. “The gift serves as a token of appreciation for his/her services rendered to the department.”
