Forces lay siege over Theeru Ganderbal, searches launched

Ganderbal: Government forces on Tuesday launched a cordon-and-search operation in Theeru area of Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district.

A Police official played down the anti militancy operation saying that the searches are a ‘routine matter’.

The operation is being jointly conducted by 5RR, SOG of police.

Eye witnesses told INS that a large number of forces have been deployed in the area.
