Sonamarg (Ganderbal): A week-long Da’wah program organized by Islamic Fraternity (IF), an Islamic organization working in the field of Da’wah, education and social welfare activities, at twin tourist resorts-Sonamarg and Pahalgam, commences on Thursday.
The program part of the series launched by the IF to spread word of Islam among the non-Muslims, particularly visiting the tourist resorts in Kashmir, and to clear the misconceptions spread by the anti-Islam elements across India and around the world.
The organization will carry Da’wah activities at Sonamarg for first three days of the week at Sonamarg and will move to Pahalgam to carry similar activities for remaining days, a statement issued here said. With around two dozen volunteers and Da’yees, the organization intends to hold interactions with maximum non-Muslims so as to offer them the message of Islam.
