TRAL: District administration Pulwama is assessing the quantum of damage caused by the gusty winds and the crashing on almost a hundred years old massive Chinar tree in Dadsara area of Tral on Monday.
People who suffered damages have urged the district authorities to expedite the process of providing relief to them.
On Monday evening, a residential house, one dozen vehicles (bikes & cars), school, shops and an electric transformer got damaged due to winds in the area.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Tral Mr. S.A.Raina (KAS) visited the area on Tuesday along with all the line departments including Tehsildar Tral Mr. G.R.Bhat, AEE’s and JE’s of PDD, PHE, R&B and other revenue officers.
As per the ADC, the loss of property is being ascertained by the field agency.
A statement issued by SD authorities headed by ADC reads that “revenue field agency completed the necessary documents and shall be submitted to Deputy Commissioner’s Office only today.”

“Relief under norms shall be provided to the affected people only after the case is submitted to DC Office Pulwama for further course of action,” He said.
