Ganderbal: Police on Tuesday arrested two burglars and recovered stolen property in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district.

A police official said that on credible information of locals that two persons intruded in to water pump station and have stolen water pipes worth 20000 rupees.

Police rushed to the spot and arrested two accused namely Manzoor Ahmad Guroo son of Abdul Aziz Guroo and Arif Ahmad Guroo son of Bashir Ahmad Guroo both residents of Naninara Sumbal.

“The accused persons confessed to the crime and spotted the place where they had dumped the pipes,” police said.

He said that a case has been registered FIR No. 09/2019 U/S 379 RPC in Police Station Safapora and investigation is taken up.
