Family of Sarjan Barkati protest in Srinagar, demand his immediate release

Family members of Sarjan Barkati on Wedensday staged a protest demonstration at Srinagar Press Enclave and demanded his release.

Barkati was arrested in 2016 following massive protests over killing of Hizbul Mujahideen commander Burhan Wani along with associates.

He shot to fame for his sloganeering style and his videos went viral on the social media networks.

Barkati remains behind bars since 2016.
