Srinagar:  Members of
Peoples United Front, an alliance between Shah Faesal and former MLA Sheikh Abdul Rashid on Friday protested  against the  the ban on civilian traffic from Nashri to Qazigund  on Srinagar-Jammu highway for over five hours a day, , from 10 am to 3:30 pm, during Amarnath yatra.

“More than security agencies,It is Kashmiris who make the yatra a success,” Rashid said.

He said that such orders only  exposes “New Delhi’s colonial mindset and hatred towards Kashmiris.’
They demanded immediate revocation of the ban.
The authorities had said restrictions were put on the civilian traffic to allow incident-free passage to vehicles carrying Amarnath yatra pilgrims.
