Srinagar: In a total disregard to government orders to cover the trucks carrying construction materials, vehicles are violating official directions brazenly as officials remain in deep slumber.

According to various commuters the brazen violation of guidelines only adds to the issues faced by the people as the dust and stone particles rising from speedy trucks creates hurdles to the drivers as well.

“How can they defy official directions, that too on highway, which is swarming with police and traffic cops however there is none to check on them,” a commuter told INS.

Commuters accuse traffic cops of being lackadaisical in performing official duties by ‘closing eyes of the naked violation of law’.

“Either they are not interested in it or they let them do it for reasons better known to them,” they accused.

A top police official told INS that he will look into the matter and violation will be checked.

“I thank you for bringing this to our notice. We will look into it and action will be taken against those violating the orders,” he said.
