Tral: A family in Dadsara area of Tral in Pulwama district  had a narrow escape when a massive Chinar tree fell over their house on Tuesday.
House of Ghulam Qadir Mir suffered damages in the incident.
Locals said that the area witnessed strong windstorm during intervening night of Monday and Tuesday triggering part of Chinar to fall.
The inmates escaped unhurt but the rooftop of the house was tore apart by the crashing tree.
Family members claimed that they had many times requested authorities to cut branches of the tree fearing they might cause any untoward incident during windy conditions.
They claimed that various applications are pending with authorities urging them to cut the tree in the area.
