Army man succumbs to injuries received during cross LOC shelling in Poonch

Jammu: An army soldier succumbed to his injuries he has sustained on Monday evening in cross LOC shelling at Shahpur sector along Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch district.

Army spokesperson Lt Col Devender Anand said that the soldier Lance Naik Mohammad Jawed succumbed to injuries today morning.

The soldier Jawed, a resident of Marrar, Tehsil Morrahi, District Khagaria, Bihar, was injured after Pakistani army resorted to unprovoked ceasefire violation in Shahpur Sector along LoC on Monday evening, the spokesman said.
