Locals claimed that at around 1 am fire broke out in the Maratha cluster near Trikutnagar Railway Station area.

“It rapidly spread to the entire area due to high-intensity winds, ” they said.

The Maratha cluster mainly housed migrant labourers from Bihar and Uttar Pradesh, besides some Rohingyas.

The fire, officials said, was doused after over three hours.

“There is no damage to life, ” according to officials.
