Ganderbal: Residents of various areas are irked due to slow pace of work on road widening project from Pandach to Beehama chowk, a cause of inconvenience to all.
Officials put the blame on funds crunch and problems in land acquisition to be cause of slow work on the road.
Locals told INS that it is a year now that work commenced on the road connecting important locations including Leh and Sonmarg road.
“They are not able to complete a 4 km stretch. The work happens at snails pace,” locals rued.
They also complained that due to bad condition of important road ambulances only add to the trauma of patients.
EXN R&B Syed Sajad told INS that land acquisition was slow.
“The process is slow due to poor funding and slow land acquisition process,” Sajad said. .
