Kulgam gunfight: At least 50 injured in clashes, militant found alive in debris

Srinagar: Two militants were retrieved alive from the encounter site in Tazipora Mohammadpora area of Kulgam after massive protests broke out in the area in which almost 50 people have been injured.

According to local sources protesters broke into cordon around the site and engaged with forces while resorting to stone pelting.

“Two militants were found alive at the site and were whisked away by the mob,” reports claimed.

At least 50 persons were injured, four of them seriously in government forces action during clashes near encounter site.

“50 youths suffered injuries after police and paramilitary CRPF used pellets, teargas shells and live ammunition to disperse the protesters,” Locals claimed.

Four aming the injured have been shifted to Srinagar hospital for advanced treatment.
