Pulwama: Massive clashes erupted between protesting youth and government forces in Batagund area of Tral in Pulwama district on Saturday.

According to locals protesting youth resorted to stone pelting on CRPF near Dembal area, to which they retaliated with tear gas sheling.

“Youth, however, did not relent in their stone pelting on Government forces,” they said.

Clashes were going on when this report was being filed.

Kashmir is observing a complete shutdown on SA Geelani’s call to strike against the killing of Zakir Musa in an encounter in Tral.
