Kulgam gunfight: One more militant body found, seaches going on

Srinagar: With recovery of another body at the encounter site in Kulgam village the militant death toll has reached two,  while searches in the area are still going on.

Nocturnal gunfight broke at Gopalpora area of south Kashmir’s Kulgam where forces had launched CASO following a tip-off about militants hiding there.

Sources said that one militant was killed in the initial firefight and the second one’s body was found while searches were conducted there.

Meanwhile, mobile Internet has been clamped down in Kulgam for precautionary measures.

 The operation was being jointly conducted by a  team of army’s 34RR and SOG.
