8 passengers injured as sumo vehicle falls in gorge in Anantnag

Anantnag: At least eight passengers suffered injuries after a vehicle skidded of the road and fell into a gorge at Verinag area in south Kashmir Anantnag district on Saturday.
The accident took place at 3:35 p.m. when a TATA Sumo Passenger vehicle (JK03D 8837), on way from Verinag to Kapran, skidded of the road and fell into a deep gorge near Nowgam Verinag, resulting in injuries to eight persons, sources said.
Four of the injured passengers were referred from PHC Verinag to District Hospital Anantnag for further treatment, they said.
The injured were identified as Kashif (22) of Gawas, Mohd Ramzan (65) of Kapran, Anjum (18) of Thaman Verinag, Zarka (28) of Kapran, Ulfat of Hallan kaparan, Bilal of Hallan kapran and Maroofa of kapran.
