Srinagar: The governor Satya Pal Malik on Friday ordered authorities to provide free treatment to the girl students who were injured after a school excursion bus met with an accident in Siligam area of Ashmuqam in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district.
Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Baseer Ahmad Khan told INS that the governor has ordered administration to ensure free treatment and that other measures are taken for well-being of the students. “The administration will ensure that the girls get best treatment,” he added.
Reports said that school excursion bus (JK03-2711) of Government High School Dudhkul Kokernag with students and staff onboard it, skidded off the road near Siligam in Ashmuqam when they were returning back from Phalgam.
Twenty-four students were injured and were taken to Sub-District Hospital Seer for treatment.
