Kupwara:
In shambles building of government girls middle school Dardpora Lolab Sogam in north Kashmirs Kupwara district is posing threat to students enrolled. Authorities seem unmoved by the plight of the students.
With broken roof, window less school has cracks all over the walls. Almost 150 students are enrolled in the school
Adding to the miseries no proper fencing has been done while the school is located inside dense woods in Dardpora in educational zone of Sogam.

Students claim that many times during classwork dogs, monkeys and other animals can be seen peeping through the windows.
They also claimed that they are skeptic over the quality of of food provide for Mid Day meals as the kitchen’s roof top is broken.
Mismanagement also has hit students badly as uniforms under government schemes haven’t been allotted to the students as provided in the previous educational session.
“There is no seperate washroom facility for female students but a common one. Despite repeated pleas to the authorities issues have not been looked into,” they said.
The only washroom has no proper water connectivity and at times students prefer going to nearby houses when need arises.
Ghulam Rasool Dhobi, principal of the school said that since he recently joined the school he has raised the concerns with the education department.
“The building used by 160 students can’t withstand a earthquake, some funds have been granted for repairment of the budding but all that would go in waste,” Dhobi said.
