Weather conditions to improve from tomorrow

Srinagar: Meteorological department on Wednesday said that weather conditions in valley will improve from tomorrow and urged people to not fall for flood related rumors.

“As informed earlier, many places of South, East Kashmir and Hilly Areas of Jammu region received heavy rain as a result of which there is significant increase in water levels in Nallahs, Rivers etc. thereby increasing chances of landslide on vulnerable areas,” officials at MeT said.

“We expect gradual decrease in rainfall from this evening and significant, overall improvement from tomorrow, 18th April,” the official said. They said that there can be landslide in sloppy area,minor flood & water logging in low lying areas. “People are requested to remain calm but vigilant, prepared and not to spread rumours of flood,” he said.
