According to Mirwaiz he also told NIA during questioning that Jamia Masjid has been giving voice to the aspiration of the people and will continue to do so.

“This mosque has been giving voice to the rightful aspiration of the people and its now fourth generation that is involved in the dispute,” he said.

Mirwaiz also said that he informed the sleuths of NIA that muscular policy adopted by government of India will not succeed in ‘subduing the peoples wishes and aspiration for a final settlement of the dispute’.

“Leadership of Pakistan, India and Kashmir has no other way but to solve this dispute that is consuming fourth generation now,” he said.

He also criticized Indian media of malicious campaign that the Hurriyat is not cooperating with them.

“What would you find in papers confiscated? Our policy and program is in public domain,” he said.

“What cooperation are they asking for, what should we cooperate for? Our policy and stand that Kashmir is dispute waiting to be settled by peaceful means will not change by pressure tactics,” he said.
