Ganderbal: A 17 year-old boy slipped to death in Upper Sindh Power House in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal District. 
According to officials the deceased has been identified as Tariq Ahmad Awan s/o  Ab. Hameed Awan resident of Fraw Gund area of the district. 
“He died after slipping into a power canal,” they said.
SHO Gund Tariq Yousuf told INS said after hectic efforts by locals and police the body was retrieved from the canal.
He said the body was handed over to his family after completing all legal formalities.
The incident happened on Monday.
