Srinagar, July 8: In the ongoing Kashmir Premier League, Kashmir Harvard Zoonimar CC and Bird Enterprises emerged winners in the double-header on Thursday.

The first match of the day was played between Kashmir Harvard Zoonimar CC Vs R.Co Tigers. Winning the toss, Kashmir Harvard opted to bat first and posted a huge total of 214 runs in alloted 20 overs. Umar Malik scored a blistering 77 of just 27 balls and hit 9 huge sixes in his inning. Usaid Firdous scored 34 of 24 balls was second top scorer for Kashmir Harvard. For R.Co Tigers Umar, Zahid Nabi, Sunil Kumar and Faizan shared 2 wickets each. In reply R.Co tigers scored 193 for the loss of 7 wickets. Jiyaad Magrey’s inning of 73 of 43 balls and Waris Amin’s 47 of 23 balls which included 6 huge sixes went into vain. For ZCC Amir Afzal and Zahoor Sofi claimed 2 wickets each. Umar Malik for his blistering knock  was adjudged man of the match.

 

The second game was played between Kashmir Weaves and Bird Enterprises. Kashmir Weaves lead by Asif Rasool won the toss and elected to bat first. Kashmir Weaves managed a total of 120 runs only. Their batting did not click with Parveez managing 38 of 39 balls to be the top scorer for them. For Bird Enterprises Sajad Ganai took 4 wickets and conceded 9 runs only. In reply Bird Enterprises chased the target in 19th over losing 4 wickets during the course. Tariq Sofi scored 50 runs from 65 balls and Mufti Amir scored 28 of 24 balls. Mujtaba Yusuf picked 3 wickets for Kashmir Weaves. Sajad Ganai for his outstanding bowling performance was awarded Man of the Match.
