Anantnag: At least four persons, on board a JCB, were reportedly swept away by an avalanche at Aru in Pahalgam area of this south Kashmir district on Friday.

According to the reports, during snow clearance on Pahalgam -Aru road , the JCB with 3-4 persons on board it came under an avalanche near Gudkhamb point.

An official said that the rescue teams and machinery have been swiftly pressed into service to rescue the stuck persons.
