Jammu: The government on Sunday said a detailed inquiry would be carried into the incident involving crashing of a Gondola trolley in Jammu, leading to the killing of two workers and injuries to four others.
Advisor to governor Khurshid Ahmad Ganai also insisted that it was not the main trolley but rescue mock drill trolley that crashed.
“Some say trolley was broken, some say it turned topsy-turvy but it would be inquiry that will reveal what actually happened,” he said.
Asked whether it would be a considered a big loophole given that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi is inaugurating it on February 3, the advisor said: “inquiry will reveal everything’.
“Main trolley has not fallen but it’s rescue mock drill trolley which fell down,” he insisted. The advisor also announced that compensation will be given to all the deceased as well as injured. He said that dead belong to West Bengal while injured belong to UP and West Bengal.
