High Court quashes 13 PSA detention orders

Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir high court has quashed thirteen detention orders under Public Safety Act.
While quashing the orders, the court in most case ordered release of the detainee from the preventive detention forthwith and remaining case, it ordered custody of the detainee to be governed by the orders as shall be passed by the court of competent jurisdiction in the criminal case registered against them.
A bench of Justice Rashid Ali Dar quashed the preventive detention orders under the PSA after hearing the counsel for the detainees and the government.
The detention orders those quashed by the court include that of Inayat Manzoor Najar of Pulwama, Mohammad Nadeem Malik of Balpora Shopian, Bilal Ahmad Kaloo of Takiyabal Sopore, Aijaz Ahmad Sheikh of Baramulla, Irfan Ahmad Wani of Ganderbal, Khalid Nazir Wagay of Kulgam, Ghulam Rasool Kaloo of Rampora Chattabal Srinagar, Javeed Ahmad Mir of Baramula, Rameez Ahmad Mir of Pulwama, Nissar Hussain Rather of Khomani Chowk Srinagar, Fayaz Ahmad War of Baramulla, Aijaz Ahmad Khan of Hyhama Kupwara and Meera Khan of Bandipora
