Pulwama: A Special police officer (SPO) of Jammu and Kashmir police, who was grievously injured in a militant attack on Tuesday evening, succumbed to his injuries.
Identified as Sameer Ahmad Mir of Hajin-payeen area of Rajpora in Pulwama, the SPO was fired upon by militants.
As per the sources, he was immediately taken to PHC Rajpora, where he succumbed to his injuries.
“A manhunt has been launched in the area by forces, soon after the attack,” a police official said.
