Baramulla: Trade body of Baramulla in north Kashmir on Wednesday staged a protest against the PDD, alleging that the department has failed to provide proper electricity in the town.
Reports said Traders Federation Baramulla assembled at Main Chowk of town and staged a protest demonstration over the prevailing power crisis.
The protesters blocked road for some time, which brought the traffic to standstill.
Protesters talking to INS, said that authorities at PDD lack seriousness to resolve the power crisis in Baramulla town, they said that we are worst affected with this frequent power cuts in this town, they added that this is a big failure of Govt as well as PDD department. The protesting trade body termed this power crisis a trend in Kashmir especially in winter.
The protesting traders led by President Mohammad Ashraf Ganie, General Secretary Tariq Ahmad Mangloo, Besides other Traders members were present in the protest demonstration.
