Srinagar: A sub-inspector, part of anti-hijacking wing of police, has been found dead in the rented room in a hotel at Humhama in outskirts of Srinagar.
The deceased has been identified as Abdul Hamid of Trikanjan Boniyar Baramulla and was found dead in a hotel—Mirani resorts Humhama, in the vicinity of the Srinagar international airport. The body was found in the room after Hamid’s brother complained that he was not picking his phone from last days. A search was launched following which the body was recovered. Police said inquest proceedings under section 174 CrPC have been initiated in the case.
