Peer Muhammad Hussain, Bashrat Bukhari quit PDP, to join NC tomorrow

Srinagar: The resignation spree of senior party leaders continue unabated and Peer Muhammad Hussain and former minister Syed Bashrat Bukhari joined the list on Tuesday. Hussain, a close associate of PDP patron Mufti Mohammad Sayeed and Bukhari, a former minister in PDP-BJP alliance before it fell apart in June this year, are set to join National Conference tomorrow.
The People’s Democratic Party expelled duo from the basic membership of the party along with former bureaucrat Mehboob Iqbal from the position he was holding in the party.
They have joined likes of Dr Haseeb Drabu, ex-MLA Imran Reza Ansari, ex-MLA Abid Ansari and MLC Yasir Reshi, who quit the party since the PDP-BJP government fell apart in June.
