Pulwama: One more civilian was killed in government forces action against protesting youth near site of a gunfight in Kharpora Sirnoo area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Saturday. Three militants were killed and two army men injured in the gunfight.
Hundreds of youth took to streets and clashed with government forces as soon as news broke about the gunfight, reports .
The government forces used live ammunition, pellets and tear gas against protesting civilians who were trying to march towards the gunfight site, report said further. Five civilians were injured and two of them succumbed. The second slain civilian has been identified as Abid Hussain Lone son of Ghulam Nabi lone of Karimabad Pulwama.
Earlier, as already reported, civilian Amir Ahmad Palla of Ashminder village of Pulwama succumbed to grave wounds on way to Srinagar hospital.
