Kulgam:  Body of a man, abducted month and half back from his home, was found in Kulgam district of south Kashmir on Tuesday.

Officials said that the body of the man, Sheraz Ahmad Bhat son of Ghulam Ahmad Bhat, was found near Awhatto area in Kulgam. The body was buried in an orchard and was recovered by the police on the information collected by it during the investigation of the case.

Sheraz was abducted on 25 October from his home at Laroo Kulgam, three days after an encounter took

on 22 October in Laroo Kulgam gunfight raged  between militants and government forces that ended with the killing of three militants while seven civilians lost their life due to the blast near the site of encounter.

Shiraz Ahmad was lone bread earner for his family and was a Sumo driver by profession.  Sometimes he would work as labourer under MNREGA scheme.
