Poonch: Two Junior Commissioned officers (JCOs) of army were injured in a land mine blast along the Line of Control (LoC) in Mankote sector of Poonch district in Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday.

Reports said that the JCOs Dhareej Kumar and Rajendhar Singh of 5 Mahar Regiment were injured when they accidentally stepped over a mine while patrolling along LoC in Mankote sector.

Both have suffered injuries in the incident and were evacuated to army hospital Rajouri for treatment.

Police post Incharge Mankote, Abdual Karim confirmed the incident.

The officer said that the a case has been registered and further investigations taken up.
