Anantnag: Ahead of the elections, a Panchayat Ghar was set ablaze by unknown persons in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Sunday night.
Official sources said that the flames emerged from a panchayat Ghar located in the Brakpora Bul Bul Nowgam area in the district.
The fire tenders soon reached the spot and were on job to douse off the lames, a police official told INS.
The building apparently suffered extensive damage even as the firefighters were on the job, the official said. He said that a case has been registered as investigation will reveal reason for burring down the building.
