Operations suspended till 3pm at Srinagar airport

Srinagar: Following heavy downpour in state especially snowfall in summer capital Srinagar authorities have  temporarily suspended operation at Srinagar airport on Saturday.

“Landing/take-off [of flights] temporarily suspended at Srinagar  airport due to bad weather/snowfall,” said the Information department on Twitter.

It said the flights are lined up at the tarmac, waiting for the weather to improve.

In another tweet, it said the runway has been closed till 3 PM due to snowfall and poor visibility.
