Sopore: Clashes between youth and government forces started on Sunday amid a Cordon-and- Search-Operation in northern Baramulla district’s Zaloora Sopore.
Reports received by INS said that a joint team of 22 RR, Special Operation Group of Police and paramilitary CRPF sealed Zaloora village of Sopore .
Door to door searches in the area are being conducted while all entry and exit points have been sealed by the strengthened deployment of the government forces, the reports said.
Reports said youth took to streets and clashes with the government forces and the ding-dong battles were going on when reports last came in.
Meanwhile when contacted, officials told INS that CASO was launched on inputs about the presence of militants in the area. (file picture used in the post for illustration).
