Pampore: Militant Killed, Injured Civilian Succumbs

Srinagar, Nov 06: A militant was killed in a gunfight with government forces at Lalpora Meej area of Pampore in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
“One unidentified militant has been killed. Operation is going on. Further details shall follow,” a police official said.
Meanwhile a civilian who was injured in alleged firing by militants before the start of the encounter died at hospital here.
A senior police officer said that the civilian namely Abid Ahmad Mir ( 22-year- old) son of Abdul Hamid of Meej Pampore succumbed to his injuries this morning in SMHS where he was admitted last evening.
