SPO shot at in Pulwama, ‘stable’ in hospital

Pulwama: A Special Police Officer was shot at and injured by militants who barged into his home in this south Kashmir village and fired at him late last night.
Sources said during militants stormed into the house Bilal Ahmad Ganai son of Mohammad Maqbool Ganai in kareemabad village of Pulwama in and fired at him, resulting in injuries to him. He was taken to hospital where from he was shifted to Srinagar for special treatment.
A police official confirming the incident said the SPO suffered injuries in his leg and is stable.
Soon after the attack, the government forces launch cordon-and-search-operation and a man hant to nab the attackers.
