Srinagar: After Kupwara where some militants are believed to be trapped in a cordon-and-search-operation thrown by the government forces, authorities have ordered closure of schools in Bandipora district of north Kashmir.

According a communication by Deputy Commissioner Bandipora, all schools and colleges including private ones shall remain closed in the district. No reasons have been specified even as there are reports suggesting that a militant from Bandipora is among militants trapped in the CASO at Shartgund Bala Handwara in Kupwara.

As per instructions of Deputy Commissioner Pulwama, Degree college Pulwama shall remain closed on Thursday.
