Police registers case of disrespecting Indian flag in Kathua in a rally led by BJP’s Jasrotia

Jammu: Police has registered case of disrespecting Indian National Flag in a rally led by Bharatiya Janata Party leader Rajiv Jasrotia in Kathua of Jammu division of the state.

According to reports the flag was allegedlu displayed upside down in the rally. 

The FIR was registered in Kathua Police Station under Section 2 (insulting the national flag or the Constitution) of the Prevention of Insults to National Honour Act..

A local resident, had filed the complaint.

Jasrotia, was leading the rally and is a former minister, attended by BJP candidate Rahul Dev Sharma.

Jasrotia, had accompanied Sharma in a procession from his Shiv Nagar residence to file nomination papers forward number 19 Thursday for the Urban Local Body polls.
